Time to Attach

A national campaign to add 15 weeks of Attachment Leave Employment Insurance Benefits for adoptive parents, kinship and customary caregivers.

In the ongoing advocacy for expanded parental leave benefits for adoptive parents, kinship and customary caregivers, Adopt4Life—Ontario’s Adoptive Parents Association, the Adoption Council of Canada and Western University conducted research from families across the country on the challenges facing them. With the results, they sought stories from parents or caregivers to share in awareness for the campaign to advocate for EI benefits called “attachment benefits,” which would give children more #TimeToAttach.
